Semester III Week# 15 Honors College Experience

On 12/13/2018 I spent two hours working on my application for the MBA program here at ETSU. I decided to take the time and use it for the reminder of my hours for collo. I think that going on to get my MBA is a wise decision. I do not think that I will return to school after I leave, so no leaving for me just yet. My plan is to obtain my MBA and then peruse my PhD in International Business. I do not know if the path I am taking will lead to that but that is my goal. I am making SMART goals in order to be more successful in my journey! This semester has not been easy to say the least but I have made it through.

Semester IV Week 10 Honors College Experience

 This week I added another 3.5 hours to my time for a grand total of 28 hours. I have been able to get to the place of happiness within myself by learning how to meditate. I am so glad that I made this my project this semester. I have became a better person, friend, student, and mentor. On April 4th I attended the Alpha Sigma Lambda Induction Ceremony. I was there from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. I had a speaking part and helped set up  for the event. This is a ceremony where new members go through the process of being told what the society is and finish by them taking the oath. There was a total of 7 people that was inducted. This gives a total of 32 hours towards the 30 hours of requirement. I am done with the required time.

Semester II Week#15 for Honors College Experience

This is the last post for the semester. As I reflect back on my goals and compare them to my accomplishments, I must say that I am very proud that I have meet each goal that I set. I also went above the requirements of the course because that is just how I role. I want to help as many individuals as possible. I am impressed that I have come out of my shell a bit more this semester and I am not hating ETSU anymore. I have found my niche. It is also hard to believe that as of the end of this week I have became a senior in college. Man, how time flies when you having "fun". I am one step closer to meeting some of my major life goals that I have set for myself. In one more year I should be half way to my overall goal of obtaining my doctorate from college. Week#1 of the Honors College Experience

I attended the first meeting of the Adult Student Transfer Committee on Monday, August 28,2017. During this meeting the committee talked about various ways that administration could improve the transfer process. That would lead to a smoother transfer experience. Several programs was brought up that would make this mission a reality. The most common solution was more events that would connect transfer and incoming students together in a more tight fitting way. These ideas are in the process of being brought up to the Adult Transfer Committee and is hoping to be approved. This meeting was 1.5 hours long. I am using this time towards my 5 hours of volunteering for my Honors Collo requirements. This gave me an opportunity to meet and become more acquainted with faculty and administration here at ETSU.
